VR Laser Tag Game

In an endeavor to blend the classic excitement of FPS games with modern VR technology, my team and I, utilizing Google Cardboard and the Unity platform, have developed a 1v1 virtual reality laser tag game. This game invites players to immerse themselves in a competitive environment, equipped with the necessary VR gear.

Our technical approach involved the integration of IR sensors and accelerometers to create a sophisticated machine learning neural network. This network is adept at recognizing various hand and gun movements, translating them into corresponding in-game actions, like grenade throwing, shielding, reloading, and firing.

The hardware components are skillfully merged with a Unity-based front end, employing the Vuforia engine to enhance the gaming experience. This fusion has culminated in a unique Virtual Reality laser tag game, representing a significant innovation in combining traditional gaming fun with the latest in VR technology.
